Make your wife happy this Thanksgiving. Use Smoky's recipe and fix the turkey for her. Give her something to be thankful for and have a great tasting turkey at the same time.

My students were given a pumpkin to decorate for Halloween. While I was out of the room they decided how they wanted to decorate it. Guess who they made their pumpkin look like? You got it. Me.

Hope you had a Happy and Safe Halloween.

WeightWatchers.com: Start Losing Weight Today! Yes, Weight Watchers. You may not be able to see it in the picture below taken of me a couple years ago but I weighted about 270 lbs. Why because I love to eat good food and I love to eat a LOT of good food. But reality set in and I decided to loose some weight and change my life style. I still love to eat good food I just don't eat as much as I did before. Between May 11 2005 and October 11 2005 I have lost a total of 80 lbs using the Weight Watcher Flex Point system. I hightly recommend it. I have learned I can still eat the Great foods I love I just have to watch what else I eat and not try to eat it all. If you need to loose some weight, Give WW a try. There are many internet based support groups that can provide you with some great recipes and excellent motivation to loose those extra pounds. Oh since loosing the weight My cholesterol dropped by 20% to 104 with a 1:1 ratio. So give it a try the only thing you have to loose is weight. The best part is NO foods are forbidden.

Received this in an email earlier this week. Since I have started weight watchers a few months ago I am always on the lookout for low fat low cal recipes. This one definately qualifies. You may want to adjust the amount of wasabi to make sure it isn't too hot for your taste. The number of points for those on WW is listed as "my points under the nutritional analysis. Enjoy

Cucumber Salad with Spicy Wasabi Dressing

1 1/2 tsp dry wasabi (or to taste)
2 cucumbers
2 Tbs rice wine vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp salt
1 dash ground black pepper
2 scallions, thinly sliced
1 Tbs black or toasted white sesame seeds

1 Mix the wasabi with 1/2 teaspoon warm water in the bottom of a mixing bowl and let it stand for 5 minutes.
2 Peel the cucumbers, cut each one in half lengthwise, and use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out the seeds. Cut the cucumbers widthwise into 1/4-inch crescents. Add the vinegar and sugar to the wasabi and whisk until smooth.
3 Whisk in the sesame oil, salt and pepper. Just before serving, add the cucumbers, green onion, and sesame seeds to the dressing and mix well.

Don't crack up while trying to hide cheesecake cracks I love cheesecake. BUT, when my wife or I have tried to make them they crack on the top. Here is a website that while it didn't help me stop having cracked topped cheesecake it made me quit caring if it cracked or not. It also has a good recipe for Pumpkin Kahlua Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake and chocolate leaves to cover any cracks that may appear. Enjoy
